Mr Fothergrill's Wf-cowslip Commonly called Paigles, these sweetly scented, golden yellow flowers have a contrasting orange eye and are held on long stems above a rosette of pale green crinkley. An early treasure for grassland and lightly shaded woodland. Late summer and autumn sowings will flower the following year, often earlier than spring sowings. The Cowslip are rare in the wild and are scented, for patio pots, naturalising, and border edging.
