Mr Fothergrill's Wf-yarrow A hardy perennial, flowers the same year from an early sowing. A favourite wildflower for many insects including butterflies. Tough plants with aromatic leaves and long lasting blooms. With a height of 70cm the WF-yarrow has approx 1000 seeds. Sow indoors from Janurary to March, outdoors to April to June for flowers in June to september the follwoing year. Water well and place in a warm position. A temperature of 15-20° C (60-68°F) is ideal. Keep moist. Seedlings usually appear in 7-21 days. Transplant seedlings 5cm (2') apart to other trays. Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions (avoid frosts). Plant out 35cm (14') apart, when frosts are over. Or sow outdoors April to June, for ease, where they are to flower, 0.5cm (1/4') deep into finely prepared soil which has already been watered. Thin seedlings to 35cm (14') apart. Keep well watered.
